My journey as an Italian/Colombian designer has been marked by a series of transformative experiences that have shaped my skills, expertise, and approach to design. With a University Degree in Industrial and Product Design from ISIA University in Rome, I entered the design arena with a solid foundation. However, it was my natural leadership skills that propelled me to achieve my goals and make a lasting impact.

During my time as a Research Assistant at the Digital Administration and Social Innovation Center (DASIC) at Link Campus University in Rome, I had the opportunity to work on projects focusing on innovation and cultural heritage. Recognizing the importance of user-centered design, I actively collaborated and provided guidance on projects aimed at enhancing the digital transformation of cultural landmarks and historic sites. My ability to offer support, give guidance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams ensured the success of these projects as I navigated challenges and leveraged innovative solutions.

Upon relocating to Brighton, I entered the customer service industry at Brighton Palace Pier. Here, I showcased my natural leadership skills by identifying opportunities for improvement and presenting a project to enhance employee training and onboarding. My strategic thinking and communication abilities enabled me to gain buy-in from the management team, leading to the successful implementation of a transformative platform. This streamlined HR processes and introduced a culture of continuous improvement, highlighting my innate ability to lead change.

Working closely with management and HR, I spearheaded the implementation of digital solutions to bring HR closer to employees. My adaptability and collaborative approach ensured the success of these initiatives as I navigated challenges and guided the team towards user-centric solutions.

My journey at ATOS further underscored my leadership capabilities. I assumed multifaceted roles, including UX Designer and Service Designer, where I guided team colleagues in overcoming challenges, developing design systems, and steering the strategic direction of projects. Through collaborative workshops, team empowerment, and data-informed decisions, I consistently demonstrated my leadership prowess.

Thanks to these experiences, I have embraced the role of a design generalist, allowing me to seamlessly shift roles and interact more effectively with colleagues. In conclusion, my journey as a designer has been shaped by my natural leadership skills. From spearheading innovative projects to implementing transformative solutions, my ability to lead, collaborate, and drive change has been pivotal in achieving my goals and leaving a lasting impact.
